Hapag-Lloyd’s new weekly service to enhance Asia-C. America connection

Hapag-Lloyd will start offering a new weekly service between California and Central America West Coast, replacing its current MXC.

The new CCE (California-Central America Express) service greatly improves the connection of main ports in Asia with the West Coast of Central America by means of relay via Manzanillo.

Main benefits include an enhanced port coverage in Central America as well as a new call at the Port of Corinto, Nicaragua, with full connectivity to and from Asia.

First sailings from Asia connecting with this new service to Central America will commence as follows:

AME2 Service departing from Hong Kong on February 11, 2012
AME1 Service departing fromNingbo on February 17, 2012

From Central America to Asia, the CCE service will commence on March 17, 2012 in Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, in direct continuation to the carrier’s previous service scheme.
