International express service provider DHL Express Philippines has once again been recognized as one of the world’s leading employers, bagging a Top Employer Global certification for the second time in a row.

DHL Express Philippines is one of the eight companies to be certified as a Top Employer Global 2016, a program organized by the Top Employers Institute to recognize employers that globally create the optimal conditions for their employees to develop professionally and personally.

“We are honored to be recognized as the Top Employer for 2016 by Top Employers Institute,” DHL Express country manager Nurhayati Abdullah said in a statement.

“At DHL Express, we have an intense focus on attracting, engaging, developing and retaining the most talented specialists in international express delivery. For instance, we continually run employee recognition programs and award-winning training to enrich the learning of our employees. We believe that the key element of our success is our Motivated People and we make it a key priority in our strategy,” Abdullah added.

Top Employers Institute’s chief executive officer David Plink said: “We congratulate DHL Express for their consistency in achieving Top Employer Global Certification for the second consecutive year and for the clear commitment this demonstrates to pursuing HR excellence across all continents.”

He added that Top Employers Institute “applies an objective, rigorous process in identifying and certifying those organizations that truly have excellent conditions in place for their people to develop.”

As part of the Top Employer Global 2016 process, DHL Express was certified as a Top Employer individually in 43 countries across all continents, more than any other the organizations that were certified by Top Employer Institute worldwide. The company scored particularly high for talent strategy, leadership development, performance management, and learning and development.

The Top Employers Institute annually conducts a survey of HR best practices around the world. Key areas reviewed include leadership development, performance management, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, talent strategy, on-boarding, learning and development, and culture.
