San Miguel Corp. (SMC) and Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) have signed an integration agreement for the ongoing Skyway Stage 4 toll road.

Under the agreement, the Skyway 4, known as the South East Metro Manila Expressway, will integrate on and off ramps at Ayala Land’s Arca South—a business and residential development. The linkage aims to enhance accessibility and streamline regional traffic flow.

Construction for the Skyway 4-Arca South integration project is slated to commence next year, according to a statement released on November 22.

SMC Infrastructure is the concessionaire for the 32.66-kilometer Skyway Stage 4, that connects the Skyway system at the Arca South all the way to Batasan Complex in Quezon City. The expressway will provide an alternate route from the South to the Eastern parts of Metro Manila including Rizal province.

With interchanges at Ortigas Avenue Extension, Marcos Highway, and Tumana Bridge towards the Batasan complex, it is seen to ease traffic congestion on major arteries such as EDSA and C5, and enhance connectivity throughout Metro Manila’s Eastern corridor.

SMC president and CEO Ramon Ang, Ayala Corp. president Cezar Consing, and ALI president and CEO Anna Ma. Margarita Dy signed the agreement.

Consing said the “collaboration will improve connectivity, benefiting not only the Arca South community but various stakeholders in Taguig as well.”

Ang in a statement highlighted the transformative potential of such collaborations, saying, “This partnership shows that when major companies work together, the potential for driving positive change is immense. By combining our resources and expertise, we will be doing more than just building infrastructure.”

Ang added, “We will pave the way toward a more connected Metro Manila, where people have a better chance to thrive, prosper, and enhance their quality of life.”

As part of its focus on accessibility for Central Business Districts, Ayala Land has strategically integrated Arca South into the Skyway Stage 4 Project, creating a seamless connection between Makati, BGC, and Arca South.

Launched in 2014, Arca South spans 74 hectares, serving as a mixed-use master-planned development and CBD. It features six residential projects, commercial lots, Ayala Malls Arca South, Landers, a football field, and an events area.
