DHL Summit Solutions, Inc (DSSI) seeks to further enhance its market position and expand its service offerings as it marks its third year.

DSSI is a joint venture between DHL Supply Chain APAC and JG Summit Holdings. Its service offerings include land transport, cross-docking, and sea and air freight.

The recent appointment of Javier Bilbao as CEO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific “marks a significant development” for the joint venture, according to a statement on the JG Summit Holdings website.

Bilbao’s visit to the new DSSI Head Office in Manila, alongside Andries Retief, CEO of DHL Supply Chain South East Asia Cluster, underscored the strategic importance of the Philippines in DHL’s regional operations, the statement added.

Bilbao, previously headed DHL’s Latin American division. He engaged in a company townhall during his Manila visit, where he shared his vision and priorities for the future of DHL Supply Chain and its collaboration with JG Summit Holdings.

In October last year, DSSI announced a 25% boost in its transport fleet. Now totaling 2,000 trucks, the company said its expansion demonstrates its “commitment to meeting the growing demands of its clientele, especially the consumer and retail sectors.

DSSI’s move to a new office – in the Bridgetowne Destination Estate which borders Pasig and Quezon City — is “symbolic of its continued growth trajectory and commitment to operational excellence,” said the company.

As it enters is fourth year of operations, DSSI said it “remains steadfast in its dedication to enhancing customer satisfaction and driving economic growth in the Philippines.”
