BOC seizes various goods worth P15M in Paco

  • Assorted goods with an estimated cost of P15 million were seized at a Paco, Manila storage facility
  • The multi-agency seizure operation yielded Chinese cigarettes, food items and medicines along with liquor, cellphones, cellphone accessories and powerbanks 
The Bureau of Customs on February 4, 2021 apprehended various goods with an estimated value of P15 million in Manila.

Reams of Chinese cigarettes, food items and medicines along with liquor, cellphones, cellphone accessories and powerbanks were found at a storage facility in Paco.

The BOC-Manila International Container Port Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service and Enforcement and Security Service in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard inspected the facility through a Letter of Authority signed by Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.

Further inventory and investigation are underway for possible filing of charges for violation of Section 1400 of RA 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act).
