PSA BDP, a global logistics and supply chain solutions provider, has opened its first office in the Philippines, its 140th location worldwide.

The new office in Parañaque City, the company’s 50th office in Asia, will be led by Philippines country general manager Jose Dindo de Vera, PSA DBP said in a statement.

With the Philippines serving as a key market for production and manufacturing, PSA BDP said the expansion reinforces its global growth strategy to have a presence in major markets “where its diverse array of customers operates to provide enhanced solutions and greater connectivity.”

PSA BDP noted the Philippines is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations, which has many free trade agreements with neighboring key economies such as China, India, and Japan.

“PSA BDP’s further investment in Southeast Asia expands its global network, elevates connectivity and demonstrates the importance of this market for continued trade and supply chain growth,” the company added.

Strategically positioned between Manila’s airport and seaport, PSA BDP’s Philippine office will “improve supply chain flows for customers within the chemical, retail & consumer, life sciences & pharmaceuticals, and electric vehicle & industrial sectors” by offering services such as export air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, import services, project and heavy lifts, trucking & haulage, lead logistics provider, 4PL, and warehousing and distribution.”

PSA BDP Asia Pacific managing director Gary Chan said, “(The) Philippines serves as a key hub for economic and trade growth, and our team is thrilled to bring PSA BDP’s presence to our customers in this region.”

PSA BDP is backed by the strength of PSA’s (Port of Singapore Authority) global network of ports, terminals and container facilities.

PSA International completed the acquisition of BDP International in April 2022.
