  • North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway go 100% cashless this Halloween
  • With Easytrip RFID, paying for toll fare is now convenient and cashless experience
  • Motorists can get real-time traffic alerts via MPT DriveHub app for hassle-free travel

The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) are gearing up for the upcoming Halloween season and the long weekend by transitioning to 100% cashless toll collection.

Motorists who typically pay in cash are encouraged to make the switch to cashless transactions, especially at specific toll plazas that have offered 100% RFID (radio frequency identification) lanes since October 23. These include Meycauayan Northbound, Sta. Ines, Meycauayan Southbound, and several others.

For a complete list of toll plazas implementing the 100% RFID system, visit Easytrip’s Facebook page.

MPT Mobility, the company behind this initiative, operates Easytrip, MPT DriveHub app, and NLEX Drive & Dine, all aimed at making travel more convenient and enjoyable. These services are designed to assist drivers and toll users, ensuring a smoother road trip experience.

As the country gears up for All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1) and All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2), traffic is expected to get worse over the weekend. MPT Mobility suggests drivers plan ahead and use smart solutions to avoid long lines and enjoy a stress-free road trip.

To obtain an RFID sticker, motorists can use Google Maps or the Easytrip Station Finder to locate a nearby Easytrip RFID Station.

The RFID sticker and its installation are free.

MPT DriveHub is a travel app that provides real-time traffic updates, assisting travelers in planning their routes effectively.

Drawing from traffic data from 2022, northbound traffic is expected to be busiest on the afternoon of October 27 and the following morning. Southbound traffic during Undas typically peaks around 3 pm on both days.

MPT DriveHub is compatible with Easytrip RFID accounts, allowing users to check their balance and reload their RFID accounts, all within one app.

For those returning to Metro Manila, NLEX Drive & Dine offers an ideal rest stop offering various dining and shopping options to cater to travelers and drivers.
