2GO Group, Inc. is boosting its presence in Mindanao with a new vessel and a new route between Davao, General Santos and Manila.

MV 2GO Masigla, the latest addition to the group’s fleet, embarked on its first operational voyage on March 18, departing from Davao for the new Manila-Davao-General Santos-Iloilo-Manila route.

With the addition of MV Masigla, 2GO’s fleet now includes 10 roll-on/roll-off passenger vessels and one freighter.

“Our increased presence in Davao and General Santos reflects our dedication to being at the forefront of meeting the evolving needs of our customers. We are confident that these enhancements will contribute significantly to the overall growth and prosperity of the regions,” 2GO president and chief executive officer Frederic DyBuncio said in a statement.

With the new vessel and route, 2GO said Davao and General Santos residents, as well as visitors, can now enjoy enhanced travel options.

MV 2GO Masigla offers amenities similar to restaurant dining, hotel-like accommodation, with a fully- equipped salon, and karaoke rooms. Passengers can also enjoy onboard retail outlets featuring well-known brands such as MINISO, QuikMart, and Watsons, along with freshly brewed beverages from Café 2GO.

Businesses in Davao and General Santos, as well as nearby areas, can also benefit from faster goods movement from the new service.

Sea travel reservations are available from Manila to Davao or General Santos, and from Davao or General Santos to Iloilo and Manila, starting at P1,140. 2GO said a comprehensive range of shipping services is fully operational and ready for scheduling to meet customer needs.

2GO’s comprehensive logistics services include transport via cargo forwarding via air, land, and sea to key strategic hubs nationwide to ensure efficient service coverage.

According to SM Investments Corp., 2GO’s parent firm, 2GO Travel serves Visayas and Mindanao with routes in key cities in the region. Interports are available from Cebu to Cagayan De Oro, Butuan, or Ozamis. 2GO’s strategic logistical hubs also handle cold chain requirements for food shipments from Visayas and Mindanao to Manila and the rest of Luzon.

2GO also has extended its less-than-container-load shipside services from Manila and Cebu to Iloilo, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, and Puerto Princesa, providing micro, small, and medium enterprises with opportunities to scale by transporting time- and temperature-sensitive goods nationwide.

2GO’s comprehensive end-to-end solutions encompass transportation through a fleet of 3,000 couriers servicing inter-VisMin transfers.
