The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Manila International Container Port (MICP) awarded its top importers, customs brokers, deconsolidators, and freight forwarders for the third quarter of 2021.

BOC-MICP in a ceremony on December 21 awarded Mondelez Philippines Inc. and customs broker Lunil Ortiz Luna for contributing the highest revenue for the July to September 2021 period. The top consolidator for the period was LBC Express, Inc. while Rosario S. Calisang was the leading customs broker.

BOC-MICP acting district collector Romeo Allan Rosales noted that although the pandemic greatly affected the district’s revenue collection, a surge in the latter part of the year closed the gap in annual target.

According to a previous BOC statement, BOC-MICP hit its mid-year revenue collection target but missed monthly goals for all months of the third quarter 2021. Still, the district exceeded its P13.992-billion November target, raking in P14.147 billion.

From January to November 2021, BOC collected P584.156 billion or 94.7% of the P616.749 billion total target collection for the entire year.
