EVA Air is offering Philippine travelers increased access to Seattle via Taiwan from June.

This, as the Taiwanese airline will introduce three additional weekly flights between Taipei and Seattle from June 25 to September 27, 2024 in response to rising demand for air travel in the Asia Pacific region.

Philippine travelers can connect to the Seattle service via daily EVA Air flights from Manila, Cebu, and Clark to Taipei.

The Manila-Taipei route operates three times a day, while flights from Cebu and Clark to Taipei operate daily afternoon flights.

From June 5 to Sept. 7, Flight BR 24 will depart Taipei for Seattle every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with a flight duration of approximately 11 hours.

The return journey for Flight BR 23 meanwhile will depart Seattle at 1:10 a.m., arriving in Taipei approximately 12 hours later the next day.

EVA Air currently operates one daily flight between Taipei and Seattle, with Flight BR 26 departing Taipei at 11:40 p.m. and Flight BR 25 departing Seattle at 2:10 a.m.

For the additional flights between Taipei and Seattle, EVA Air will utilize a Boeing 777-300er aircraft, deviating from the Boeing 787-10 currently used for the route.

The Philippines has witnessed an uptick in flight options to the US, with carriers like Starlux Airlines launching routes connecting Clark and the US West Coast via Taipei, starting May 1.

Additionally, United Airlines will commence daily flights between Cebu and Tokyo from July 31, providing travelers from Cebu with a seamless route to the US via Tokyo without the need for airline changes. This marks the first time a US carrier will operate flights to and from Cebu.

In 2023, the Philippines logged a total of 5.45 million international tourists, with 17% originating from the US, indicating a resurgence in the US market amid the post-pandemic recovery period.
