Emirates Shipping adds Qingdao-Port Klang to Asia routes
  • Emirates Shipping Line will launch its China Malaysia Service (CMS) on December 21, 2022, to covers trade between China and West Malaysia
  • The new service will have weekday sailings between the Port of Qingdao in Eastern China and Port Klang in Malaysia
  • Dubai-based Emirates Shipping operates 19 services to 31 countries in the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia including the new CMS, and Africa

Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) will launch a new offering, China Malaysia Service, on December 21, 2022, which it says will provide comprehensive coverage of ports in China and West Malaysia, particularly Penang.

In a press statement, Dubai-based ESL said its new service will have weekday sailings between Qingdao in Eastern China and both North Port and West Port at Port Klang, Malaysia’s main gateway by sea in Selangor state.

The China Malaysia Service will also directly connect Port Klang to Hong Kong and Nansha in Guangzhou, both in Southern China.

The new service’s port rotation will be as follows:

Qingdao – Shanghai – Xiamen – Hong Kong – Shekou – Port Klang (North Port) – Port Klang (West Port) – Penang – Port Klang (WP) – Nansha – Hong Kong – Qingdao.

ESL said it will soon release more details about the new service offering on its website.

The shipping line is a container liner company that operates large vessels on routes to 31 countries servicing trade among Middle East, China, Southeast Asia and Africa.

ESL has 19 services all over the world, including its new China Malaysia Service.

Ten of these services operate in Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and the Red Sea. They are:

  • China India Vietnam Service (CIVS)
  • Korea China Indian Subcontinent Service (KCIS)
  • Vietnam Gulf India Service (VGI)
  • China Gulf Express (CGX)
  • Pakistan Gulf Service (PAG)

  • India Gulf Express (IGX)
  • Gulf Saudi Arabia Egympt Service (GSE)
  • Jebel Ali Bahrain Shuwaikh Service (JBS)

The company also covers East Africa with the following services:

  • Asia Kenya Express (AKX)
  • Asia Tanzania Express (ATX)
  • Gulf India Africa Express (GIA)
  • Gulf Zanzibar Express (GZX)

In addition, ESL has feeder networks. They are:

  • Japan Feeder Service
  • South East Asia Feeder Service
