Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp. (CLIHC) has upgraded its unified online booking system, offering passengers more booking options.

The Chelsea Travel app, used by CLIHC subsidiaries Starlite Ferries, SuperCat, and Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, now features group booking and self-service booking management options, along with a one-hour late booking cutoff, CLIHC said in a statement.

“The Chelsea Travel App, powered by Outsystem, is focused on innovations that aim to make booking more convenient, reliable, and satisfying not only for our passengers but also for our back-end users, who are tasked with diligently reviewing and validating an average of 300 transactions daily. We believe that these improvements will attract more families and barkada to try sea travel more often,” stated Efren Bernardino, Jr., CLIHC’s head of information technology.

Chelsea Travel allows passengers to book through three steps: scan, book, and pay.

Group booking streamlines the process for families and groups, allowing them to enter passenger details and preferred accommodations in one go.

CLIHC noted booking for three or more passengers is more cost-effective due to a one-time admin fee. Passengers can also opt to pay using Globe’s GGives, which provides manageable installment payments.

The “Manage Booking” feature eliminates the need to contact customer support, allowing passengers to access existing reservations and reprint electronic tickets sent to their email for reference.

To enhance flexibility and convenience, CLIHC has reduced the reservation cutoff time to one hour before departure, down from the previous four-hour limit. This change allows passengers to make impromptu trips, even during peak seasons, with the assurance of a reserved seat.

Aside from these major upgrades, the Chelsea Travel app consolidates frequently asked questions from Starlite Ferries, SuperCat, and Trans-Asia. It also provides a detailed breakdown of fares and charges before payment to ensure transparency and reduce confusion about associated costs.

CLIHC is the shipping and logistics arm of the Udenna Group of Companies, with subsidiaries including Chelsea Shipping Corp., Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Udenna Investments B.V., Starlite Ferries, Worklink Services, Inc., TASLI Services, Inc., and SuperCat.
