To meet the seasonal peak for southbound volumes into Australia, Hapag-Lloyd announced the addition of a third string to enhance its existing two-loop system between northeast Asia and Australia from August 21, 2011.
Hapag-Lloyd says in a statement on its web site that the third string (Central Loop) will be launched on August 21, 2011.
Once the Central Loop is introduced, the combined service will provide the following coverage:
Northern Loop: Yokohama, Osaka, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Yokohama
Southern Loop: Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Kaohsiung
Central Loop: Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Shanghai
“The introduction of the Central Loop underlines our commitment to provide our customers with high-quality, reliable, and direct connections between Asia and Australia,” Hapag-Lloyd said.
