Ceva Logistics, a global supply chain management company, is further expanding its network in Malaysia as it starts building its third warehouse in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, an industrial area close to Port Klang, following a groundbreaking ceremony on November 18.

The multi-user warehouse called CDC (Central Distribution Center) 2 will sit next to the existing facility CDC1 and provide warehousing space of over 33,000 square meters.

Together the two offer a combined storage space of about 67,000 square meters, making it the largest warehouse campus for Ceva in Malaysia.

Having a CDC campus in one central location enables the firm to “optimize the deployment of resources and equipment more efficiently for its customers’ benefit,” said a company statement.

“We are continuing to expand our footprint in Malaysia. This investment we are making highlights our commitment to meeting the increasing contract logistics and warehousing needs of our customers in Malaysia, and offer more innovative supply chain solutions for their business,” said Vikash Agarwal, the company’s managing director for Malaysia.

The two-story facility is expected to be ready by the second quarter of 2015.
