The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has announced appointments for key positions.

Anidelle Joy Alguso was designated officer-in-charge deputy director general for policy and planning. Her appointment took effect on May 4 under Special Order No. 2023-032 signed by PEZA director general Tereso Panga.

On April 28, the PEZA Board also confirmed the appointment of Vivian Santos as deputy director general for operations. She was OIC for the same position since September last year.

Atty. Jenny June G. Romero, meanwhile, has been designated OIC deputy director general for finance and administration, concurrent to her role as group manager of the Legal Affairs Group. Romero replaces former OIC deputy director general for finance and administration Aleem Siddiqui Guiapal.

Both Santos and Romero’s appointments took effect on May 2.

Alguso now occupies the position vacated by Panga, who prior to his appointment as director general last March and OIC director general since July 2022, was deputy director general for policy and planning since 2010.

Aside from her role as OIC, Alguso is concurrently the group manager of the PEZA Management Information Systems Corporate Planning Group.

Alguso graduated Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the AMA Computer College and earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at De La Salle University.

She has been with PEZA for 25 years now.

Santos is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She joined then EPZA, now PEZA, in 1984 and rose from the ranks. She has been with PEZA for 28 years.

Romero graduated AB Political Science at St. Louis University and of Bachelor of Laws at the San Sebastian College.

She started her career in PEZA in 1999 as a Division Chief.
