President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former Department of Transportation (DOTr) official Roberto Cecilio Lim as undersecretary for aviation and airports.
Transport Secretary Jaime Bautista administered the oath to Lim at the DOTr office on July 29, the department said in a statement.
Lim previously held the same post in 2016 until he resigned in May 2017.
Before his appointment, Lim was executive director and vice chairman of the Air Carriers Association of the Philippines. He was also country manager of International Air Transport Association, member of the Philippine Air Negotiating Panel, and formerly vice president for legal affairs and corporate compliance officer of flag carrier op Philippine Airlines.
He was a board member of various firms, including the Philippine Stock Exchange, Makati Finance Corp., Asian Terminals Inc., Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp., and Pacific Online Systems Corp.
Lim holds a double degree of History/Political Science and Commerce from De La Salle University, a law degree from the University of the Philippines, and a Master of Laws from Kings’ College, University of London.
