DHL Express has invested €4.46 million (P254 million) relocating its Ortigas Service Center to a larger facility in Pasig City.

The new facility has a total lot area of 4,768 square meters and is located at the Good Harvest Complex, a few minutes away from the old facility along C. Raymundo Avenue in Pasig City, the company said in a statement.

“Our investment in the Ortigas Service Center reaffirms our commitment to enhancing our services to meet the needs and changing demands of our customers with the highest standard of excellence,” said Nigel Lockett, country manager of DHL Express Philippines.

“This also demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and to decreasing our carbon footprint with the installation of solar panels, LED lights and battery-operated forklifts for energy conservation and the deployment of electric vehicles to serve the area.”

The Ortigas Service Center comprises three warehouses, a customer retail outlet and state-of-the-art material handling equipment.

To boost security, it is equipped with 94 CCTV cameras capable of tracking shipments throughout the entire process within the service center. An X-ray machine has also been installed to enhance inspection of shipment content.

“We continue to upgrade our services with advanced infrastructure at our new Ortigas Service Center,” said Promod George, senior director for operations at DHL Express Philippines.

“With increased capacity and state-of-the-art equipment, our customers can be assured that their shipments are handled with the utmost care and security, which will support their growth in international markets. The new facility also provides improved amenities such as an employee lounge and gym, ensuring that employees are working in the best and most comfortable environment.”

With the facility, DHL Express will continue to serve the needs of new and regular customers in Pasig City, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, San Juan, Marikina, Cainta and Taytay, Rizal.

Walk-in customers can book or drop their shipments at the DHL retail outlet located at the entrance to the facility. Customers looking to make international shipments in the area can find the DHL Service Point in front of the facility, as well as DHL Express’ eight service centers nationwide.
