Cebu Pacific is resuming its international flights out of Davao in late October, starting with direct services to Singapore.

On October 30, Cebu Pacific will begin operating three times a week – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday – from Davao to Singapore.

Flight 5J 715 is scheduled to depart Francisco Bangoy International Airport at 5:15pm and is set to arrive at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4 at 9:10pm. Its return flight, 5J 716, is scheduled to leave Singapore at 9:55pm and is estimated to arrive in Davao at 1:40am the next day.

This is the first international route that the airline is restarting from Davao, in line with its move to expand hubs outside Metro Manila.

“We are very excited to bring back this route as we know passengers in Mindanao have been waiting for more affordable and convenient flight options to fly abroad,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao said in a statement.

“Now that we’ve strengthened our operations from Manila, it’s time we move forward to growing our regional hubs as we work towards restoring 100% of our pre-pandemic capacity in the coming months.”

Fully vaccinated guests entering Singapore are not required to submit a pre-departure COVID-19 test and do not have to undergo quarantine upon arrival. They must instead present their proof of full vaccination (VaxCertPH or Bureau of Quarantine Yellow Card), and fill out a Singapore arrival card three days before arrival.

Returning to Davao, boosted Filipinos will no longer need to take a COVID-19 pre-departure test.
