Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific is resuming its flights to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia, further expanding its international network to 19 destinations.

Starting October 31, 2022, Cebu Pacific will operate two flights a week to Kota Kinabalu, every Monday and Friday; its return flights will be every Tuesday and Saturday, the airline said in a statement.

Flight 5J 733 is scheduled to depart Manila at 11:25 p.m. and arrive in Kota Kinabalu at 1:50 a.m. the next day. Its return flight, 5J 734, departs Kota Kinabalu International Airport at 2:35a.m. and arrives at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 4:40 a.m.

All guests bound for Kota Kinabalu must download and register for the MySejahtera mobile app to indicate their COVID-19 risk status.

All guests exiting the Philippines, meanwhile, are required to print and fill out the Bureau of Immigration form before departure.

“As more destinations ease travel restrictions, including the Philippines, flying back to the country has been made convenient for boosted individuals.  They no longer need to submit pre-flight COVID 19 test results upon check-in and can skip quarantine upon arrival,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

Apart from Kota Kinabalu, Cebu Pacific flies to the following international destinations: Bali, Bangkok, Brunei, Dubai, Japan (Fukuoka, Narita, Nagoya, Osaka), Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi).

The airline said it currently operates 88% of its pre-pandemic systemwide capacity flying to 34 domestic and 19 international destinations.
