Israel-based Zim Integrated Shipping is introducing a new Asia-West Coast Central America service, connecting the ports in the West Coast of Central America with the shipping line’s Far East network.

The new Balboa Central America Express (BCA) will be connected to the Zim Container Service Pacific (ZCP) via the port of Balboa in Panama.

It will operate two vessels on a weekly basis with the following rotation: Balboa (Panama), Acajutla (El Salvador), Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala), Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico), Puerto Quetzal, Acajutla, and back to Balboa.

The service allows access to the ports of Puerto Quetzal and Acajutla, with one transshipment in Balboa.

The first sailing from Asia is Zim Shenzhen, departing from Ningbo on August 21, Shanghai on August 22, and Pusan on August 24, and arriving in Balboa on September 13, Acajutla on September 18, and Quetzal on September 19.
