Taiwan-based Yang Ming Marine Transport has included Davao in its China-to-Indonesia (CTI) service as the region continues to see growing exports of agricultural products and increasing imports for domestic consumption.

Yang Ming in a statement said the upgraded CTI service serves customers not only from Central and South China to/from Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia, but also now provides a direct service from Davao to Kaohsiung in Taiwan and to China.

With four container vessels having a nominal capacity of 4,250 twenty-foot equivalent units deployed to the upgraded service, Yang Ming made its maiden call on August 27, 2018 to Davao International Container Terminal in Panabo, Davao Del Sur.

The CTI service has a 28-day round voyage and a port rotation of Shanghai-Ningbo-Shekou-Jakarta-Surabaya-Davao-Kaohsiung-Shanghai.

Yang Ming said it will continue expanding its network to provide more convenient and reliable services in intra-Asia markets, and looks forward to offering more services in the Philippines soon.
