The United Portusers Confederation of the Philippines, Inc. (UPC) has elected its new set of officers and board of trustees for the term 2021 to 2023.

In UPC’s annual membership meeting last June 4, Atty. Gedeon Albao was elected as chairman and Nelson Mendoza as president for the new term.

Ma. Flordeliza Leong is the new executive vice president, while Ryan Paul Lucero is vice president for internal affairs and Irene Tan is vice president for external affairs. Marilyn Alberto is corporate secretary, Alexander Ong is treasurer, and Mauro Arce is auditor.

All the officers are also members of the board of trustees, together with Ruperto Bayocot, Charlie Villaseñor, Atty. Leonides David, Carlos Yturzaeta, and Leopoldo Dela Cruz.

UPC is a nonstock corporation organized to conduct activities that promote and advance the interests of all organizations involved in the use of the country’s sea and air ports through proper coordination with appropriate government agencies.

The group also aims to represent member organizations within the industry and before government agencies, both in the Philippines and overseas.

It is composed of industry associations representing the transport and logistics industry, including warehouse operators, forwarders, customs professionals, exporters, importers, and manufacturers.

Member associations include the Association of Off Dock CFS Operators of the Philippines; Association of Transshipment Operators of the Philippines; Philippine Association of Black Iron & Galvanized Iron Pipes & Tubes Manufacturers, Inc.; Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines; Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia; Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.; Philippine Insurers & Reinsurers Association of the Phils.; Port Lawyers Association, Inc.; and Philippine Multimodal Transport & Logistics Association, Inc.
