Tigerair Taiwan has appointed Trans Pacific Air Service Corporation as its official general sales agent (GSA) partner in the Philippines in time for the launch of a new service from Cebu.

As the low-cost carrier’s GSA, Trans Pacific Air Service will provide support across the airline’s passenger ticket sales, marketing, ticketing, and reservations needs.

“We look forward to serving Taiwan’s first and only LCC (low-cost carrier), and this means our full dedication and commitment to Tigerair Taiwan and the passengers who wish to book their flights to Taipei,” Trans Pacific Air Service head of passenger GSA Ray Samonte said in a statement.

The Taipei-based airline will first take off from Cebu on December 2, 2018, and will be flying to Taipei four times weekly. Inbound flight IT538 will depart Cebu every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

As an introductory fare, Trans Pacific Air Service is offering round-trip flights from Cebu to Taipei for as low as US$69 with travel dates on December 2 to 4 or December 3 to 6.

“This is our way of welcoming the airline to the Philippines and at the same time providing an opportunity for more of our fellow Cebuanos to visit Taipei in the cold month of December,” Samonte added.

Tigerair Taiwan has a growing network of 20 destinations with 27 routes to and from the Philippines, Korea, Japan, Macau, and Thailand.

With expertise in passenger and cargo sales, Trans Pacific Air Service has been representing airlines since 1998.
