SCMAP Visayas names directors for 2021

Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP) Visayas has named its new Board of Directors for 2021, with Rodien Paca leading the body.

Paca, who last served as vice president and president-elect of the chapter, is affiliated with Naga Port Shipping Marine Service. Glenn Manguilimotan of Treasure Island Industrial Corp. is the new vice president.

Mae Masnayon of Northpoint Inc. has been named secretary; Arnold Jumalon of Boeing Material Handling Corp., treasurer; Roberto Cabaero of Transfluent Management, auditor; and Gilbert Cabataña of LF Philippines, public relations officer.

Rounding off the Board are ABM Global Solutions’ Alfie Amontos; Gan Networks Inc.’s Allan Salmero; Peer Cargo Movers’ Marivic Esmero; and Fast Logistics’ Pablito Evangelista, Jr.

In interviews with the Cebu-based press, Paca said he plans to increase both consultations with local stakeholders and virtual training offerings to help the region’s logistics sector cope with the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new board’s term began on January 1 and will run until year-end, except for the term of Paca, who will be president for two years per the organization’s by-laws.

SCMAP is the country’s premiere supply chain organization comprising more than 200 members, both companies and individuals, spread out in three chapters nationwide. Its members include top manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers in the Philippines. Aside from Visayas, its other chapters are North Luzon and Mindanao.
