Wallem Philippines Shipping, Inc.’s Arnel San Diego has been reelected president of the Philippine Ship Agents Association (PSAA) for 2018.
Almost all of PSAA’s current officers and Board of Directors were also reelected for next year’s term, except for Arnold Tuazon of K Line (Philippines), Inc. and Jay Viray of Twinseas Maritime Services,Inc., both of whom will be serving as directors.
Inter-Asia Marine Transport, Inc.’s Walter Coronel was reelected vice president for internal while Mizzen Shipping Enterprises, Inc.’s Leo Philip Buñag is still vice president for external.
Blue Sea Shipping Logistics, Inc.’s Jesus Verocel was voted again as secretary, and Ben Line Agencies Philippines, Inc.’s Alfred Hernandez is still the treasurer.
Reelected directors for the incoming yearare Frederico Acosta (Safe Seas Shipping Agency), Romelos Carmelotes(COSCO), German Bonifacio, Jr. (Prudential Shipping Agency Services), Virginia Madlang-Awa (Doña Virginia Maritima Corporation), Joselito Ilagan (TMS Ship Agencies, Inc.), Ernan De Leon (Global Maritime Logistics Support, Inc.), Rogelio Salonga (RCS Shipping Agencies, Inc.), and Ruben Santos (Petro-Bulk Maritime Services, Inc.).
The 2018set of officers and directors was inducted on December 11 by Maritime Industry Authority deputy administrator for planning Atty. Primo Elvin Siosana.
PSAA, which has been in the industry for 43 years, is comprised of more than 40 ship agents from foreign shipping lines and foreign trampers that operate in Philippine ports.
