Philippine and Taiwan cold chain industry associations have agreed to cooperate on the sector’s development in the areas of capacity building, industry, and investments promotion activities.

A memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation was signed by Cold Chain Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CCAP) president Anthony Dizon and Taiwan Cold Chain Association (TCCA) chairman Freezer Lin on November 23 during the 2023 Philippines-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration Summit, the Board of Investments said in a recent statement.

In a separate statement, TCCA said the two associations are jointly committed to the exchange of experience in industrial development, cooperation in innovative intelligent energy-saving technologies in cold chain logistics, and assistance in the training of cold chain talents.

The signing follows BOI’s visit to TCCA in Taiwan in August 2023 to discuss areas of collaboration on cold chain industry development and harness Taiwan’s global cold chain solutions to further develop the Philippine cold chain industry.
