The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has pegged at P150 the export declaration processing fee (EDPF) for all shipments under its Expanded Automated Export Declaration System (E-AEDS).

The fee  — applicable for the initiative’s first six months of implementation — applies on all PEZA locators regardless of whether their export shipment is LCL or FCL.

PEZA will charge higher fees after the first six months.

“Pursuant to the announcement regarding the implementation of the PEZA-Bureau of Customs (BOC) E-AEDS effective February 14, 2012 and its mandatory implementation on March 15, please be advised that the flat fee of P150 as EPF shall be effective February 14, 2012,” PEZA deputy director general for operations Mary Harriet Abordo said in an order.

“Henceforth, all value-added service providers (VASPs) are directed to adjust the EPF on the same time and date and amend the fee description in its respective E-AEDS module,” Abordo added.

The EPF will be uniformly implemented on all PEZA locators, including members of the Semiconductors and Electronics Industries of the Philippines, Inc (SEIPI).

Under the old AEDS between PEZA-accredited VASP E-Konek and SEIPI, SEIPI members are exempt from payment of the fee. That AEDS version will be scrapped as soon as the E-AEDS is rolled out.
