President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed new railway officials to head the Philippine National Railways (PNR) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on August 4 led the oathtaking of Jeremy S. Regino as PNR acting general manager and Henry L. Uri as acting member of the PNR Board of Directors.

LRTA’s former spokesperson and corporate board secretary, Atty. Hernando T. Cabrera, was also sworn in as the agency’s new administrator.

Regino served previously as LRTA administrator, while Uri was a broadcaster and member of the Board of Directors of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.

The appointments of Regino, Uri, and Cabrera will be confirmed by their agency’s respective Board of Directors.
