  • There will be no number coding scheme in the National Capital Region during the holidays
  • It will be suspended from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 24 (Christmas Eve), December 30 (Rizal Day), and December 31 (New Year’s Eve)

Implementation of the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or number coding scheme will be suspended during the holidays, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

The number coding will be suspended from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 24 (Christmas Eve), December 30 (Rizal Day), and December 31 (New Year’s Eve).

There will be no number coding on December 25 (Christmas Day) and January 1, 2022 (New Year’s Day), both Saturdays.

MMDA said this means vehicles with plate numbers ending with 7 and 8 covered by the scheme on Thursdays, and those ending 9 and 0 covered by the scheme on Fridays, will be able to ply the roads during Christmas Eve, Rizal Day, and New Year’s Eve.
