The Navotas city government will reimpose a truck ban on key streets starting November 14, 2022.

A limited truck ban will be enforced from 6:00am to 10:00am and 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday to Saturday, except holidays, on the following roads:

  • Naval St. (from Agora to Bagumbayan-Bangkulasi Bridge, from C-4 Road to Brgy. Tangos North)
  • Pascual St.
  • C-4 Road
  • Lopez Boulevard

During periods not covered by the restriction, trucks are allowed to use only the designated truck lanes.

The truck ban covers vehicles with eight or more wheels, such as cargo and freight trucks, or those with a gross weight of 4,500 kilograms, including tractor trailers and container haulers, the city government said in a statement.

“People are back to commuting to and from work now that businesses and various industries are fully operational. Through the reimplementation of the truck ban, we hope to ease traffic congestion and make the commute less burdensome,” Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.

A total truck ban will also be imposed along Lapu-lapu Avenue and at San Rafael Village. Exempted from this are vehicles owned by businesses within the area.

C-3 Road to the Caloocan-Navotas boundary, and C-3 Road and R-10 Road to the Manila boundary are identified as special truck lanes and are open to all passing vehicles as long as they stay on their designated lane.

Trucks with perishable goods may apply for a special pass from the City Traffic and Parking Management Office to be able to use the non-truck lanes and prevent delivery delays.
