The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will re-impose the ban on light trucks along Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Shaw Boulevard starting May 24.
Under the policy, trucks with a gross capacity weight of 4,500 kilograms and below are prohibited to traverse along EDSA from Magallanes, Makati City until North Avenue, Quezon City, both northbound and southbound, from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and along Shaw Boulevard (Mandaluyong City and Pasig City) from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The uniform light truck ban will be enforced from Monday to Saturday except Sundays and holidays.

MMDA last May 17 also re-imposed a truck ban on major thoroughfares in Metro Manila in view of its return from modified enhanced community quarantine to the less strict general community quarantine but with heightened restrictions from May 15-31.
