The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Clark and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested the consignee of a shipment containing 4.5 grams of kush marijuana and 82 leaves of rolling papers.

The shipment arrived in Clark from Germany on June 25 and was said to contain “gifts, letters and photos”. The shipment was then subjected to strict profiling and non-intrusive examination. Physical examination yielded one piece used smoking pipe, one piece red herb grinder, one booklet mini rolling paper tips, one pack organic hemp rolling paper, and one bottle dried leaves/herbs of suspected kush marijuana.

The shipment was also subjected to K9 sniffing which indicated the presence of illegal drugs. Thereafter, PDEA chemical analysis was conducted yielding positive result for the presence of marijuana.

The claimant was arrested during a controlled delivery on July 3 at Majayjay, Laguna by elements of BOC-Clark and PDEA Region III.

A Warrant of Seizure and Detention was issued against the shipment for violation of Sections 118 (g), 119 (d) and 1113 (f), (i) & (l) of Republic Act (RA) No. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
