• Laguna, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro have been placed under enhanced community quarantine from August 6 to 15
• Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal, and Iloilo will be under modified ECQ from August 6 to 15
• Batangas and Quezon will be under GCQ with heightened restrictions until August 15
Laguna, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro will be placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the strictest form of lockdown, from August 6 to August 15.
Laguna was previously only under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions until August 15, while both Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro were already under ECQ but only until August 7.
Cavite, Lucena City and Rizal were also placed from GCQ with heightened restrictions to the stricter modified ECQ (MECQ), also from August 6 to August 15. Iloilo province, which was earlier under ECQ until August 7, will now be under MECQ from August 6 to August 15.
Batangas and Quezon, meanwhile, will be placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions from the less strict GCQ until August 15.
The new quarantine classifications were recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Last July 30, Metro Manila was placed under ECQ from August 6 to August 20 amid the local transmission of the highly infectious Delta variant of COVID-19.
Gingoog City will also be under ECQ until August 7, while Cebu City and Cebu Province have been added to the areas under modified ECQ until August 15, 2021, subject to further appeals by their local government units.
Ilocos Norte, Bataan, Mandaue City and Lapu-Lapu City are under MECQ from August 1 until August 15.
Placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions from August 1 to August 15 are:

The following areas, meanwhile, are placed under GCQ for the whole month of August:

• Cotabato City

• General Santos City
• Guimaras
• Isabela
• Negros Occidental
• North Cotabato
• Nueva Vizcaya

• Santiago City
• Sarangani

• Surigao del Norte
• Surigao del Sur
• Zamboanga City
• Zamboanga del Norte
• Zamboanga Sibugay
All other areas are placed under modified GCQ (MGCQ) for the whole month of August.
In areas under ECQ, MECQ, GCQ, and MGCQ, logistics service providers are allowed to operate at 100% capacity, while cargo/delivery vehicles should still be allowed unhampered movement.
Within and across areas placed under any form of community quarantine, movement of all types of cargoes via land, air, and sea should remain unhampered. Likewise, workers in the logistics sector, such as those in cargo, trucking, courier delivery and port operations, should be allowed to transit within and across these areas, according to the omnibus guidelines set by the IATF.
