Kerry Logistics, a Hong Kong-based logistics company, has acquired a 55,000-square-meter piece of land at the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (ESIE) in Rayong Province, Thailand, for the construction of an automotive logistics center.

The ESIE, located 35 kilometers from the Laem Chabang Seaport, is a car-manufacturing cluster of more than 500 automotive factories for global brands such as General Motors, Ford, Mazda, and Suzuki.

The planned 35,000-square-meter facility is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2013 and will offer logistics, freight forwarding, and specialized services to both on-site and off-site customers.

The company also recently completed the expansion of its automotive facility at the Chonburi Free Trade Zone in Laem Chabang, Thailand.
