The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has allowed Philippine establishments and activities under Alert Level 1 to operate at 100% capacity.

IATF Resolution No. 168-E signed on June 4 and released on June 7 amends guidelines on the nationwide implementation of alert level systems for COVID-19.

The new policy, however, requires presentation of proof of full vaccination before participating in mass gatherings or entry into indoor establishments.

Acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said the amendment was made because the government pandemic task force recognizes the need to further identify establishments and/or activities which are allowed to operate, or be undertaken in Alert Level 1.

Areas under Alert Level 1 refers to areas where case transmission is low and decreasing, total bed utilization rate, and intensive care unit utilization rate is low.

Metro Manila and more than 60 areas nationwide are under Alert Level 1 from June 1 to 15.

In areas under Alert Level 1, which is the lowest level of alert status, all private offices and workplaces, including public and private construction sites, may operate at 100% capacity. Public transportation in areas can also be at full seating capacity.
