CSAV suspends Asia-Caribbean sling 2 for winter

Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) announced the suspension of its Joint Caribbean Service Sling 2 (JCS2) from the Far East to the Caribbean as part of its Winter Capacity Program.

The Chilean shipping company said in a media statement on October 27, 2011 that only the Joint Caribbean Service Sling 1 (JCS1) will be serving the Far East-Caribbean route from week 48 (November 29). But its coverage will be expanded with additional calls at Port of Spain and Port Kelang.

The new port rotation will be Chiwan, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Pusan, Ensenada, Manzanillo (MX), Manzanillo (PA), Cartagena, Kingston, Caucedo, Puerto Cabello, Port of Spain, Port Kelang, Chiwan.

The last sailing for the sling 2 will be on November 14 departing Nansha.
