CKYH to reshuffle Asia-US East coast network

The CKYH alliance comprised of Cosco, “K” Line, Yang Ming, and Hanjin Shipping plan to restructure its current Asia-U.S. East Coast loops effective middle of April.

Under the plan, CKYH will provide five loops—AWE1, AWE2, AWE3, AWE4, and AWE7—between Asia and the U.S. East Coast. The AWE7 will be launched to replace AWE6, which was suspended during the 2012 winter season, Hanjin Shipping said in a media release.

AWE1 will have a port rotation of Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, New York, Wilmington, Savannah, Jacksonville, Pusan, and Ningbo.

AWE2 will rotate among the ports of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yokohama, New York, Boston, Norfolk, and Qingdao.

AWE3 will call at Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Manzanillo, Colon, Savannah, New York, Wilmington, Pusan, and Ningbo.

The port rotation for AWE4 will be Ho Chi Minh, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh.

AWE7 will follow a port rotation of Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Pusan, New York, Savannah, Charleston, Pusan, Kaohsiung, and Xiamen.
