Low-cost airline Cebu Pacific is expanding further its Visayas-Mindanao network by increasing its flight frequencies to Iloilo and Tacloban from its Cebu hub.

Beginning August 5, Cebu-Iloilo and Cebu-Tacloban flights will have two additional weekly flights as the country’s largest airline continues to ramp up routes from its hubs outside Metro Manila.

For the Cebu-Iloilo route, the weekly flight frequency will increase from seven times a week to nine times as it flies twice daily on Fridays and Sundays, Cebu Pacific said in a press release.

The Cebu flights to Iloilo Tacloban provides Cebuanos and Ilonggos more options to fly between the two destinations for weekend trips or quick family visits.

The Cebu-Tacloban route will increase from 14 times a week to 16 times, as the carrier makes its Monday and Friday schedules twice daily. This also gives passengers more choices on when they want to fly to Cebu or Tacloban, be it for leisure or business travel.

“We are pleased to keep enabling everyJuan to easily fly across our widest domestic network as we continue to boost our network in the Visayas and Mindanao,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s chief commercial officer.

“We have seen consistent demand for these routes, and we hope to keep expanding our footprint as more people confidently fly again.”

Cebu Pacific said it remains committed to maintaining passenger travel confidence as it highlights its achievement of earning a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance.
