Cebu Pacific airlifts vaccines
  • More than 60 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been flown by Cebu Pacific across the country
  • The low-cost airline says it has airlifted the vaccines to 31 provinces since March 2021 to date
  • The carrier has also attained a 100% vaccination rate for its active flying crew

Cebu Pacific has transported over 60 million COVID-19 vaccine doses across the country.

To date, the low-cost carrier has safely airlifted vaccines to cities and towns in 31 provinces since March 2021.

The destinations were Bacolod, Basilan, Boracay, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cauayan, Cebu, Coron, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Jolo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Masbate, Naga, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose, Siargao, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Tawi-Tawi, Virac, and Zamboanga, the company said in a statement.

Cagayan de Oro received the highest number of vaccine shipments among the provincial cities, followed by Tacloban, Cotabato, Zamboanga and Legazpi.

All vaccines were stored in containers with the established temperature level to ensure that the doses are preserved until their arrival at the designated stations.

“These vaccine deliveries are vital for supplying booster shots for every Juan. We are happy to keep on doing our part in the timely delivery of these lifesaving vaccines,” Cebu Pacific chief strategy officer Alex Reyes said in a statement.

Cebu Pacific has also attained a 100% vaccination rate for its active flying crew through its own employee vaccination program, JG Summit COVID Protect, and various partnerships with local government units in the country.

The airline said 95% of its active flying crew have been boosted to ensure the continued safety of its employees and passengers.
