BOC-Zamboanga, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, and other law enforcement agencies, conducted a seaborne patrol and intercepted MPB Arshan, a motorized wooden watercraft locally known as “jungkong.”

MPB Arshan, manned by four crew members and bound for mainland Zamboanga, was transporting 100 master cases of King Perfect cigarettes with a total estimated value of P3.5 million when intercepted.

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted visual inspection and paneling on the items for possible presence of illegal drugs.
