BOC surpasses Nov target by 27%
  • The Bureau of Customs collected P76.770 billion in November 2022, surpassing its P60.603 billion monthly target by 26.7%

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) surpassed its November collection target of P60.603 billion by 26.7%, taking in P76.770 billion, based on a preliminary report.

From January to November 2022, the bureau’s total revenues amounted to P790.301 billion, beyond its annual goal of P721.52 billion by 9.5%.

The figure for the first nine months is also historically the highest collection performance of BOC to date, the agency said in a statement. BOC earlier said it had already exceeded its revenue target for the entire 2022 as early as November 11.

All 17 collection districts achieved their cumulative revenue targets from January to November.

BOC noted several reforms were implemented, helping plug revenue leakages and led to sustained positive collection performance.

Acting Customs commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz expressed confidence in BOC exceeding its 2022 target by as much as 30%.

BOC has been surpassing its monthly revenue targets this year. Its highest monthly collection to date was last July at P84.424 billion.
