The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized on March 25 smuggled counterfeit goods estimated at P100 million in Valenzuela City.

Armed with a Letter of Authority issued by BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, the implementing team composed of personnel from the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Intellectual Property Rights Division (CIIS-IPRD), BOC-Port of Manila, BOC Revenue Collection and Monitoring Group–Legal Service, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) inspected the warehouse located at No. 8 Rincon Road, Valenzuela City, the BOC said in a statement.

Before sealing the warehouse, BOC examiners in the presence of CIIS, NBI, and AFP operatives, conducted an inventory of goods which led to the discovery of used clothing (ukay-ukay) and IPR-infringing goods bearing such trademarks as Nike, Crocs and Sandugo.
