The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Limay has inaugurated on September 23 its Customer Care Center (CCC), the ninth such customs facility to be established at Philippine ports.

The CCC is a one-stop shop providing all types of customs services such as centralized document receiving and releasing, gate pass issuances, filing of goods declaration and other customs services.

The BOC-Limay CCC will be manned by customs service officers tasked to facilitate the delivery of services in the facility.

BOC-Limay district collector Guillermo Pedro Francia IV said the CCC “will ensure a positive experience to stakeholders with the offering of re-engineered and streamlined services towards a modernized and credible customs service.”

BOC has been actively establishing CCCs to enhance trade facilitation and comply with Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act. The centers are also in compliance to the agency’s zero-contact policy, which aims to discourage face-to-face transactions to lessen opportunities for corruption.

Eight more out of the 17 BOC collection districts have already established their own CCCs. These are the Port of Manila, Legazpi, Batangas, Surigao, Subic, Clark, Zamboanga, and Davao.
