AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) has expanded its cold storage portfolio with the addition of a new facility in Mandaue, Cebu.

The Mandaue cold storage is ALLHC’s first in the Visayas and an addition to two other facilities in the Laguna Technopark in Biñan, Laguna, that the company purchased in 2021

The cold storage facilities are under ALLHC’s cold storage brand, ALogis Artico.

“We are pleased to have entered the Visayas region, and in Cebu no less,” ALLHC president and chief executive Jose Emmanuel H. Jalandoni said in a statement.

“Including Cebu, ALLHC now officially has presence in 7 key areas across the country, and 10,300 pallet positions in less than 2 years of ALogis Artico operations.”

Strategically situated within Subangdaku in Mandaue City, the new facility is just five minutes away from Cebu International Port and 30 minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

The property features 3,000 pallet positions, eight cold rooms with temperatures that can dip to -18 degrees Celsius, and solar panels to augment its power requirements with renewable energy.

Accredited by the National Meat Inspection Service, the subzero hub currently houses products of lessee companies within the meat and seafood industry.

“We look forward to servicing our customers with their temperature-controlled warehousing requirements in Cebu with ALogis Artico Mandaue moving forward,” Jalandoni said.

Looking to double its capacity, ALLHC is expected to break ground this year for new facilities on its Pampanga and Batangas properties.

The future Pampanga facility will be a key component of the envisioned agro-industrial hub serving the area, while the Batangas cold storage will address the increasing demand for more facilities in Southern Luzon.
