The Asian Terminals Inc Board has elected Andrew Hoad chairman of the Board and as chairman of the executive, nomination, and compensation committees, effective April 1. Hoad will remain as executive vice president of ATI only until March 17 as he will be moving to a regional post overseas with global port operator DP World.

Philippine port operator Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) has elected Andrew Hoad and Ahmad Yousef Ahmad Alhassan Al Simreen as directors of the Board, replacing two who have resigned.

ATI in a regulatory disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange said its Board, in a regular meeting held on February 22, elected Hoad as director, effective on the same day. Hoad, who is currently executive vice president, replaced Kwok Leung Law, who resigned on February 20 to assume a regional post overseas.

The ATI Board also elected Hoad as chairman of the Board and as chairman of the executive, nomination, and compensation committees, effective April 1 replacing Rashed Ali Hassan Abdulla, who likewise resigned to assume an overseas post.

Hoad, meanwhile, will remain as executive vice president only until March 17 as he will be moving to a regional post overseas with global port operator DP World, which owns stakes in ATI. He will remain as chairman and director of the ATI Board concurrent to his overseas position.

Alhassan, meanwhile, will replace Abdulla as director effective April 1. He also will replace Law as member of the executive, nomination, audit, compensation and corporate governance committees, effective April 1 as well.

Alhassan, a national of the United Arab Emirates, is the current head of finance at DPWorld Asia Pacific, Hong Kong. He has extensive experience in financial planning, treasury, project finance, corporate transformation and strategy covering various sectors such as real estate, banking, logistics, and healthcare.

Alhassan is the former chief financial officer of Dubai Healthcare City from 2016 to 2017, deputy finance director of DPWorld London Gateway from 2013 to 2016, and assistant group treasurer of DPWorld Dubai from 2010 to 2013.

Hoad, who has been with ATI since 2012, will be replaced by William Wassaf Khoury Abreu effective March 17 and subject to the completion of the requirements of the Bureau of Immigration and Department of Labor and Employment.

ATI operates Manila South Harbor, Batangas Port, Port of General Santos, and off-dock container yards in Manila and Laguna.
