AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) has acquired 55 hectares of land in Padre Garcia, Batangas, which it will develop into the future Batangas Technopark, the company said in a statement.

Similar to ALLHC’s four existing technoparks in Laguna, Cavite, Laguindingan in Misamis Oriental, and Pampanga, the soon-to-rise Batangas Technopark is intended to host light and medium, non-polluting industries from both the local and global markets.

It will also house ready-built facilities and cold storage facilities that will operate under ALLHC’s Alogis and Alogis Artico brands, respectively.

“We are looking forward to further energizing the municipality of Padre Garcia by bringing more employment opportunities for the communities in the province of Batangas and nearby localities,” ALLHC chief operating officer Patrick Avila said.

“The acquisition is a strategic move that furthers ALLHC’s goal of building a national footprint by increasing its presence in key areas nationwide,” Avila added.

ALLHC earlier announced it was set on building its national footprint by growing its warehouse gross leasable area (GLA) to 500,000 square meters, establishing its presence in 10 key locations across the country and creating new business platforms by the year 2025.

The property is in a prime location for the development of an industrial estate by ALLHC. Its main access is the Tiaong-Lipa road and can be reached from Manila via the Southern Luzon Expressway (SLEX), continuing onto the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road and on local roads.

It will also be accessible via the 66.74-kilometer SLEX Toll Road 4 and the 11.37-kilometer Lipa-Padre Garcia bypass road, both of which are under construction.

The future technopark is an hour’s drive from Batangas port.

It will be the second property of ALLHC in Batangas following the acquisition of an existing 64,000 sqm ready-built facility and land in Sto. Tomas in February.
