2GO Group Inc. is ramping up its support to major sporting, lifestyle and corporate events that are now making a comeback though its end-to-end logistics and transport solutions.

The group provided logistical support recently to this year’s first Ironman triathlon event of the year by facilitating the transfer of large-ticket paraphernalia for the Davao leg, 2GO said in a statement.

Bikes, race equipment, race bibs, singlets, merchandise and exhibition materials were shipped from Manila on 2GO vessels for the races and events that were held on March 23-26.

“The Ironman events require us to work with a logistics and transport partner that offers integrated solutions, is reliable and capable of scaling with our needs,” said Princess Galura, president and general manager of the Philippines’ official Ironman partner, Sunrise Events.

“We move a variety of equipment, for the mounting of the races and the surrounding events, as well as those needed by our athletes. We have worked with 2GO in previous Ironman events. We are engaging 2GO again now that these events are back,” she added.

With Sunrise Events’ continued trust, 2GO said it will continue to support the logistics and transport needs of the succeeding Ironman events to be held in Bohol, Camarines Sur, Dapitan, Puerto Princesa and Subic.

2GO said that with its range of assets, its capability to operate in a wide network within the Philippines provides fast logistical solutions that are safe, secure, and dependable for any cargo transport by land, air, and sea.

The group’s sea transport operations leverage on schedule reliability and voyage frequency with its eight passenger-cargo vessels and one freighter considered as the fastest in the country and have port priority berthing in 17 major ports nationwide, including Manila, Batangas, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.

Beyond 2GO’s sea transport solutions, its extensive land and air cargo capabilities enable the logistics solutions provider to pick up and deliver door to door regardless of delivery requirements, making 2GO services suitable for any business demand.

2GO said its delivery services reach 95% of Filipinos online serving 33,000 barangays across the country and continues to expand its coverage with more hubs and is adding drop-off locations, especially in Mindanao.
