TNT Express integrated its Chinese day-definite domestic road network into its Asia road network that includes Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

The road network will provide customers in China and Southeast Asia with door-to-door import and export road freight solutions, TNT said.

“With the integration of TNT’s two major road networks in Asia, we will strengthen our position in this market, whilst providing our customers with a cost-effective delivery solution complementary to air freight delivery,” said Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of TNT Express.

With the new service, products from Shanghai can be shipped to Southeast Asia using TNT’s day-definite network. The goods will first arrive in Guangzhou in Guangdong province within two days, reach Pingxiang on the border with Vietnam the next day, and arrive in Hanoi on the same night.

With its Asia road network, TNT Express said it can deliver goods to 127 cities in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore within another one to four days.

The Netherlands-based TNT Express is a global express delivery company that moves 4.7 million parcels, documents, and pieces of freight every week to more than 200 countries. It operates air and road transportation networks in Europe, China, South America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
