PISA 10th Philippine Maritime Golf Tournament held at Ayala Greenfield Golf

golf_pisaAround 60 players from different member-sectors of the Philippine Inter-Island Shipping Association (PISA), their business partners and associates, friends of the maritime industry and government partners participated in the 10th Philippine Maritime Golf Tournament.

The annual tournament was held on November 7, 2016 at the Ayala Greenfield Golf & Leisure Club in Brgy. Puting Lupa, Calamba City.

Philippine Coast Guard deputy Commandant Commodore Athelo L. Ybañez; PISA chairman and president Roberto “Toto” Umali; Philippine Registry of Shipping president Engineer Sammuel “Sam” Lim; and Filipino Shipowners Association executive director Atty. Augusto “Jito” Arreza, Jr opened the tournament with ceremonial tee-offs.

The program was hosted by Boy de Guzman, assisted by PISA executive director, Atty. Pete Aguilar.

Umali led the awarding ceremonies.

Jude Eustaquio of Oceanic Container Lines, Inc. got a net 66 and lowest gross of 70 (hitting 4 birdies and 1 eagle) and was declared Overall Champion. Atty. Amber Pagtalonan of Baliwag Navigation scored a net 70 and won by hitting 3 birdies to break a net 70 three-way tie to clinch the Class A Division Championship.

Kennedy Padua of Maincoat who won by 2 birdies and 11 pars and Rupert Bayocot of the Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines who won by 2 birdies and 3 pars were 1st and 2nd runners up, respectively.

The other division champions were Juan Alfonso Abastillas of Orient Transport, with a net 73 as Class B Champion. He won with one birdie to break the net 73 tie with Geok Seng Tan of Keppel Batangas as 1st runner-up. Scoring a net 75, Tony Tagacay of Shell Philippines was 2nd runner-up.

John Goh of Keppel Batangas finished as Class C Champion, with a 1 birdie to break the net 77 tie with Rey Adriano of Safe Seas who was declared 1st runner-up. Redmund Patdu of PPG scored a net 88 and ended up as 2nd runner-up.

Class D Ladies Division was dominated by Atty. May Bella of Harbor Star, scoring a net of 75 as Champion; her niece Elizabeth Bella scored a net of 78 and was 1st runner-up.

Special awards went to PISA’s Umali for the Nearest to the Pin award (82 inches), Jude Eustaquio for the Longest Drive award (330 yards) and Devin Enad of Marine Fuels for Most Accurate Drive award (2 inches).
