Container Stacker Orient Overseas Container Line announced an increase in its freight rates for traffic from Southeast Asia to Australia from August 1, 2011.

In a statement on June 30, the Hong Kong-based container shipping and logistics service company said rates for its Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indian Subcontinent and Middle East)-Australia lane services will be increased by US$300 per twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU).

The new rates represent the next phase of the company’s revenue-recovery program for its Southeast Asia-Australia services, OOCL said.
